Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
|
1 small clove garlic, peeled 2 cups dry white wine 1 pound Swiss or Gruyere cheese, shredded 1 teaspoon cornstarch 3 tablespoons Kirsch pinch ground nutmeg 2 loaves crusty bread, cut into cubes.

Instructions:
|
1. Rub fondue pot with garlic clove. 2. Pour in wine and set at low heat. 3. When air bubbles begin to rise, add shredded cheese by handfuls and stir until cheese is melted. 4. In a small cup, add kirsch and stir in cornstarch. Stir into cheese mixture until mixture is smooth and creamy. 5. Top with nutmeg. Place fondue on portable burner and serve with fondue forks and bread cubes for dipping.
