1 tablespoon peanut oil 2 onions, chopped 2 cans black-eyed peas 1 cup cooked ham, cubed Salt and pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Cayenne pepper
Instructions:
1. In a large soup pot, add oil and onions and sauté until tender.
2. Stir in black-eyed peas with liquid, ham, salt & pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.
3. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Serve with cornbread.
