Creamy Chocolate Banana Smoothie

 

Number of Servings: 3 (1 cup)
Prep Time: 5 min Skill Level: Easy

Ingredients:

1¾ cup low-fat chocolate milk, divided
10 pitted dried plums or prunes (1/3 cup)
1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced

Instructions:

1. Pour 1 cup chocolate milk into ice cube tray; freeze until solid.

2. Combine plums or prunes, banana, and ¾ cup chocolate milk in electric blender. Process until smooth, about 2 minutes.

3. Place chocolate milk cubes to blender and process until blended.

Helpful Hints:

You can also make a plain chocolate smootie - just leave out the other ingredients and use the frozen chocolate milk.

The prep time does not include freezing the chocolate ice cubes. This takes a few hours.

Best to keep some in the freezer to have handy when you need them. They are great to add to kids chocolate milk in the summer to keep it cool without getting watered down. They are also handy to cool off hot chocolate when it gets cold outside.
