Creamy Orange Sherbet


Number of Servings: 12
Prep Time: 2 hrs Skill Level: Easy


1 cup orange juice
1 1/3 cups sugar
cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
4 cups lowfat milk


1. Add the orange juice, sugar, lemon juice, lemon rind, and milk to gether in a bowl and mix.
2. Place tray in freezer and freeze until mixture is slushy.
3. Remove bowl from freezer when slushy and beat until softened.
4. Return sherbet to freezer for at least an hour before serving to get mixture to serving consistency.

Helpful Hints:

If you substitute cream in this recipe it makes an easy ice cream treat.
