Thanksgiving Potato Side Dish

Number of Servings: 5
Prep Time: 45 min Skill Level: Easy

Ingredients:

4 Cans whole potatoes, halved
10 oz. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
3 Tbsp butter
salt & pepper to taste
onion powder to taste

Instructions:

1. In a medium sauce pan melt butter.

2. Meanwhile, in small bowl, add flour to milk. Stir until there are NO lumps in milk. Add salt, pepper and onion powder to taste.

3. When butter is melted add milk mixture. When it starts to bubble remove from heat.

4. Add cheese and potatoes. Stir until cheese has melted.

5. Transfer to medium casarole dish and bake @ 350 for 30 - 40 min until top starts to turn brown.

Helpful Hints:

You can use sliced can potatoes but I personally like the whole ones better.

The orange cheddar is also a family favorite. Of course, it just makes the look of it different, it will not affect the taste at all!!!
