Fishing
Fresh
water, deep sea, anywhere in the world, you'll find a fishing
fanatic with a tale to tell and some advice on the best way to
catch more than a cold!
Fishing
resources on the Web don't offer stories about the one that got
away, but you'll find almost anything else including advice on
where and when to fish and what to use for bait and lures.
Many
of these sites even give good information on creating your own
do-it-yourself flys ...and to save a bit of change when the fish
that got away escapes with yours! You'll also find a few forums
where you can get and give fishing advice and it's very likely
you'll find a few people to swap those fishing tales with...
Reel-Time
- The Internet Journal of Saltwater Fly Fishing - Pictures,
advice and reports on how the fish are biting. Focus on the US,
but some articles cover fishing in other areas. If the technique
is your goal - or you're looking for advice on putting together
a decent fly... stop in.
Fishnet
- Fishnet.com.au covers the recreational sportfishing scene in
Australia & the South Pacific. Fish file for any kind of fish
and how to catch it, up to date information with everything "from
where they're biting & how to catch them to the latest weather
& boating conditions." Even if you're on the other side
of the world - this site has plenty to add to your catch.
Fish
Reports.net
- Fresh or salt water - there are reports from fishing enthusiasts
around the world giving the latest updates on where the fish are
biting.
Fly
Anglers Online
- This site is where you want to be when you can't be fishing.
Articles cover fishing around the world. Tide charts from most
of the US, basics, fly tying, a bit of humor and some nice pictures.
Settle in and enjoy.
Fly
& Fish - Book reviews, product reviews, articles and
reports from the UK and around the world, patterns, contests,
forums, basics, chats... and that's just part of what you'll find
here. A good well-rounded fly fishing site.
A
River Never Sleeps - Canada-based online fishing magazine.
Some very Canada (BC) oriented and testosterone based articles,
but the entry page gives up the secret. There is a sensitive side
- and fishing brings it out. Just look at the fly patterns and
you'll be convinced! Beautifully put together site.
Virtual
Flybox - Fly patterns are the treasure here. They claim
thousands of unique patterns from around the world - and it seems
to be true. The other information includes plenty of recipes and
a good mix of articles.
Fintalk
- This site was sent to us with a note saying..."Many fishing
sites have articles, many have weather, many have fishing boards
but this site has it all. Saves the fishermen from going to 3
or 4 different sites to gather his fishing trip information."
International
Game Fish Association - This is the organization that
does the record keeping in the game fish world. Record breaking
entries and a museum make for an interesting visit even if you
don't have a record breaker to register...
