Vying in popularity for cental Idaho's favorite ski area, Brundage Mountain Resort has everything a skier or snowboarder would want, with arguably the state's best snowfalls averaging nearly 300 inches a year. Usually drawing a loyal following, Brundage offers among its many amenties ski and snowboard instructions for beginners as well as family-friendly day care service for kids, infants and toddlers.

For another very popular ski resort, head north to the the Schweitzer Mountain ski area offering 10 lifts, almost 3,000 acres of ski trails with 6,400-foot elevation and a 2,400-foot drop. Add to that spectacular views overlooking Lake Pend Oreille, as well as it location only 11 miles from hoppin' Sandpoint, and Schweitzer Mountain rounds out the top three ski resorts in the state.
