For another very popular ski resort, head north to the the Schweitzer Mountain ski area offering 10 lifts, almost 3,000 acres of ski trails with 6,400-foot elevation and a 2,400-foot drop. Add to that spectacular views overlooking Lake Pend Oreille, as well as its location only 11 miles from hoppin' Sandpoint, and Schweitzer Mountain rounds out the top three ski resorts in the state.
