South Africa, granted an automatic berth in the 2010 World Cup, is getting ready to kick off the 19th edition of the games set for international play from June 11 to July 11, 2010.

It will be the first time that the tournament has been held in Africa, with millions of visitors expected to travel to Johannesburg to marvel at new sports venues now being constructed for the occasion.

The 2010 World Cup Qualifiers on TV

Setanta won the live rights to around 90 qualifying matches in 2008 and 2009 ahead of the 2010 World Cup, including most of the away games for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

It's too early to tell which of the major worldwide media outlets will provide live coverage of the 2010 games, but safe to say Setanta Sports again leads the way in a fevered battled is now being pitched to see who wins coverage rights in each of their respective countries, currently refereed by InFront Sports & Media.

In the U.S., the World Cup will most likely be covered in its entirety by ABC Sports & ESPN.
