In the annals of Summer Olympic trivia and fun facts, no athlete stands out more than Jesse Owens.

The Olympic great is best remembered for his performance at the 1936 Berlin Olympics games where
Adolf Hitler intended to showcase Aryan superiority to the entire world. Hitler's hopes were quickly
dashed, however, when the American track-and-field star set a world record in the long jump
that stood for 25 years and took home a total of four gold medals at the Berlin games.
