As the sun set over Yankee Stadium on July 15, 2008 fans never expected to witness the longest
MLB All Star game in baseball history. It went on for 15 innings and lasted almost five hours.
In desperation, the game was almost declared a tie before it finally ended at 1:38 a.m.
(the American League took it 4-3) as 20,000 comatose fans headed for the exits.
