Seattle's Summer Solstice parade, part of the Fremont Fair festivities in June.
As the weather warms, laid-back Seattle kicks up its heels to become the scene of community get-togethers throughout the spring and summer.
May is the start of fair and festival season throughout the city starting with one of its best, the University District Street Fair featuring local culinary favorites like salmonburgers as well as other arts & crafts, antiques, housewares, along with scheduled and impromptu entertainment by live bands and street performers.
On the heels of the U District extravaganza comes the Northwest Folklife Festival
at Seattle Center, followed by the whacky, very colorful - and slightly scandalous - Fremont Fair on Fremont Avenue.... and that's not even the half of it.
