Let's Go Laptop
Barney Let's
Go! Laptop; JAKKS Pacific, Inc.; Recommended for ages 18 months
+, price range $14.99 -$19.99.
For nearly two decades young children have been journeying through
learning adventures with Barney
and his friends. The Let's Go Laptop is a brightly colored plastic
toy that brings the learning adventure right to your child's hands.
Your child can select one of three double-sided, plastic discs/cards
to slide into the screen of the laptop. They can choose from a
farm, picnic, beach, classroom, zoo, and the circus.
Front and
center, right where the finger pad would be, is a large purple
button with a smiling Barney head. When your children press the
Barney button he will ask a question about colors, shapes and
numbers pertaining to the particular scene on the screen. Children
can answer by pressing one of the large numbered buttons or one
of the primary colored shapes.
All buttons are well-spaced and easy for little fingers to press.
No worry if the wrong button is pressed Barney will just repeat
the question. When the correct button is pushed your child will
hear something like,"Right, you're good at this!", or
"You're right, super-de-duper!". When done kids can
easily slide the cards into the back of the laptop for easy storage
and travel.
Barney's Let's Go Laptop introduces and familiarizes preschoolers
with different environments, basic numbers, shapes and primary
colors. In addition it reinforces language development, listening
skills and hand - eye coordination. The interactive quizzes enable
preschoolers to enjoy learning; the laptop design allows them
to do so alongside their parents.
The recommended
age is children 18 months and older. Young ones will be stimulated
with the musical sound effects, the Barney-themed styling and
over 200 Barney character phrases. While the question and answer
aspect and laptop design will keep older kids busy and entertained
for quite awhile.
The Let's Go! Laptop is a great first laptop and you'll like the
fact that it comes with the three required AA batteries.
