Gear SIgnal Launcher
Spy Gear Signal
Launcher by Wild Planet, ages 6+, Average retail $18.99USD
In the event
that your little action officer is in the midst of an ambush,
have no fear!
When their
clandestine operation has been compromised you can feel confident
knowing that they have the ability to "put up a signal".
They have the technology to secretly call for assistance or send
a warning to another agent.
That's when
the Spy Gear Signal Launcher comes in handy. When in need of nonverbal
signal communication this is the perfect aerial alert system for
pint size spies on the go. Simply take one of the signals, clip
a message to it - if you need to, load it into the signal launcher,
and aim it up, pump up the signal launcher, the signal flies like
a cork, pop. Mission accomplished.
The sturdy
plastic Spy Gear Signal Launcher, measures about 16" long,
it is an air pump similar to a Super Soaker that launches your
foam signal rockets high into the air (the box says 40ft), it
has built-in signal storage clips. It gets a little more difficult
to pump as pressure increases but ages 6 and up really didn't
have any trouble pumping it to maximum pressure.
Although
the Signal Launcher is not air powered and the signals are foam,
I would make sure that it is always aimed up and away, never at
any person, critter, or fine china!
Each rocket
has a whistle on its nose, so when fired, a faint whistling sound
can be heard, it does seem to get louder on the way down. So they
have the capability for visual, audio and written messaging. This
is a great way to get the kids up, outside, and moving.
It provides
a wonderful opportunity for open ended, imaginative play. Spy
Gear Signal Launcher is definitely an outside toy. Another great
thing about it is that it is not gender specific. Boys and girls
equally had a blast with it.
Wild Planet's
philosophy is to provide products that appeal to both parents
and kids, spark the imagination and provide positive experiences,
treat both boys and girls with respect. We feel this toy stays
true to that.
Although we
would like to have seen a girl on the box.
