Suds - The Whirling Swirling Sequencing Card Game - for 2-4 players, ages 6 and up.

Suds is another fun portable card game from Gamewright, and the recipient of the platinum Best Toy Award - Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. The game includes a deck of cards (shaped like bubbles) and instructions.

How to play the game:

The deck is dealt out completely to each player one card at a time, so each player has his or her own draw pile. Before Suds begins, players should become familiar with the laundry sequence - hat, T-shirt, boxers, pants, socks and sneakers.

From this pile three cards are drawn for a hand (4 in a 2-player game). The dealer says "1-2-3 go" and the free-for-all begins when someone plays a hat to the table. Any player can then play a t-shirt onto the pile or start another pile by playing another hat.

After the card is played draw another from your pile (players should always have 3 cards in their hands by replenishing from their draw pile). This sequence continues (as above) until the sneakers are played, completing that laundry pile. Wild cards can replace any card in the sequence.

The first one to play all their cards wins.

Why parents love this game:

  • It's a quick and silly game
  • It is a perfect game for the whole family
  • It increases hand dexterity and pattern recognition in children
  • It helps remind children of the concept of what goes in the laundry
  • It's a great traveling game, and perfect for doctor office waits
