With Zometools
Adventurer kit you can build an amazing array of models, from
bridges to fractal stars, and wait until you see the bubbles you
can make! Yes, I did say bubbles. This is a great first Zome kit
for kids and families because it has enough pieces to build complex
shapes without the disappointment of running out of pieces.
At first Zometools may appear to be just a new take on another
snap together toy. With further investigation and a lot of playing
we came to find out that the Zometools are really so much more.
The Zome System kits are versatile manipulative tools. In addition
to the benefits of enhanced small motor skills and hand eye coordination,
Zometool provides an introduction to problem solving and hands-on
exploration of math and science concepts.
Zometool components are designed to incorporate the Fibonacci
sequence, and the Golden
Ratio, advanced concepts that you never even realize you are
being introduced to.
Color and shape coded parts integrate mathematical ideas into
one fun and commonsense building system. Each Zome connector node
is an approximately ½" diameter, white sphere that
has 62 holes, in 3 different shapes and provides 62 different
directions to build out. Each kit comes with 9 different length
struts that are shape and color coded. This allows for thousands
of configurations that can't be built with other systems.
Zometool exposes the mind to multi-dimensional thinking in a fun
way. The user doesn't need to have an understanding of geometry
to develop an appreciation of it, but those who are already familiar
with these concepts will have a more in depth experience using
Zometool. It is an incredible teaching aid, and students who are
exposed to geometric theories while using Zometool will gain a
much firmer grasp of them.
The best thing
about the kit is that younger chiildren will have no idea that
they are in the process of learning difficult notions. They simply
delve into the world of creating with Zometool, and if guided
and allowed to discover these ideas they will make them their
own. Your child may be disappointed to learn they were not the
first person in the world to discover fractals, but nobody can
take away the experience of discovery.
Made in the
U.S.A of precision molded ABS plastic, the Zome System kits are
multifaceted manipulatives for problem solving and hands-on discovery
for all ages.
Zometools
are backed by a full refund guarantee, if your child is not loving
their kit and learning from it you can return it for a full refund.
