It all begins in mid September as northern Wisconsin sees its first hint of fall. The Hayward Lakes region is a prime location for a fall foliage tour (look for the leaf shaped road signs) along breathtakingly beautiful scenic routes in Autumn.

And who would want to miss a fall tour through Door County? Famous year-round for its scenic countryside and shoreline, Door County "is the next best thing to heaven" as it becomes ablaze with reds, oranges, yellows and browns from late September to mid-October.

Heading to central Wisconsin in late September, Black River State Forest provides mind-blowing color and photo opportunities galore. And, finally, further south to Milwaukee a biking or walking tour of the 100-mile plus Oak Leaf Trail should be on anyone's Top Ten list of glorious fall color hotspots in late October.

September 28, 2024 -- Appleton Octoberfest Appleton -- Appleton’s largest block party goes on for "a mile of fun" featuring five music stages, a classic car show, food vendors, craft artisans, and kids' entertainers.

October 4 - October 6, 2024 -- Bayfield Apple Festival Bayfield -- Enjoy fall along the shores of Lake Superior at one of Wisconsin's best harvest festivals featuring apple orchard and food vendors, a farmers market, local artist booths plus Sunday's grand parade.
