Helpful Hints:

This is a traditional Italian Christmas treat. Sometimes you see it also sprinkled with pignoli nuts and candied fruit, but this is our family's homemade version! We make several batches that we wrap up in colored Saran Wrap and ribbon to bring to the family Christmas Eve Dinner. Everyone gets a plate to bring home.
