The American Music Awards are back!

Cancelled last year, one of the biggest fan-voted music award shows suddenly lost its traditional home on ABC but with a promise to return in 2024.

And here we are!

Watch as this year's 52nd annual AMAs returns to TV on CBS beginning at 8PM ET live from a theater yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, stay tuned for updates including a complete line of 2024 American Music Awards nominees, along with info on who will host, presenters and performers, and the announcement of big winners on awards night!.


2022 American Music Awards rewind

2022 AMA nominees (and WINNERS, see below) included Bad Bunny topping the list with eight nominations, followed by Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Drake with six nods apiece and Adele, Harry Styles and The Weeknd with five.

Bringing the funny was the 2022 AMA host, comedian Wayne Brady.

Heading up the performance lineup was PINK with the TV premier of her brand-new single “Never Gonna Not Dance Again" along wiht a set dedicated to the life and career of 10-time AMA winner Olivia Newton-John.

Along with country superstar Carrie Underwood performing her hit track “Crazy Angels”, rock band Imagine Dragons and Atlanta rapper J.I.D. gave a rendition of the AMA-nominated "Enemy".



Bad Bunny, Beyonce and Taylor Swift topped the list of 2022 AMA nominees.

More star wattage was in store with a performace by former Disney star Dove Cameron along with GloRilla, Lil Baby, Anitta, Ari Lennox, Charlie Puth, Steve Wonder and David Guetta & Bebe Rexha performing their hit song “I’m Good (Blue)”

Favorite Afrobeats Artist nominee Wizkid and first-time AMA nominee Tems also each take the stage, marking both artists’ first time performing on the AMAs. Also joining the list was singer and "Elvis" actress Yola performing “Break the Bough,” which has been named this year's American Music Awards SONG OF THE SOUL.



Jimmie Allen, Meghan Trainor, Dan + Shay and Kelly Rowland were among the celebrities who presented awards at this year's show.

Other 2022 AMA presenters included Dustin Lynch, Ellie Goulding, Jessie James Decker, Kim Petras, Latto, Melissa Etheridge, Sabrina Carpenter and Smokey Robinson as well as actresses Karreuche Tran, Roselyn Sanchez, Niecy Nash-Betts and Sheryl Lee Ralph, plus media personality Liza Koshy.

• Unlike the Grammy's (which cover the entire gamut of music genres) the AMA's recognize the most popular Top 40 hits.
