american music awardsCome November, it's one of the biggest nights in music.

That's when the American Music Awards winners are announced live on ABC in the US and on CTV in Canada on Sunday, November 19, 2017 beginning at 8PM ET live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Hosting the ceremony, for the first time ever, is "Black-ish" star Tracee Ellis Ross.

The American Music Awards nominations were announced on Thursday, October 12 during the live broadcast of “Good Morning America.” (See below.)

Leading the pack this year are Bruno Mars, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd, the Chainsmokers, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee who are all up for multiple awards.

Promised performances on awards night features the opening act by Pink and Kelly Clarkson. Others in the lineup include Demi Lovato, Nial Horan, Khalid and Imagine Dragons, Shawn Mendes, along with a special performance by Lady Gaga live from her Joanne World Tour stop in Washington DC. Also performing will be Zedd, Alessia Cara, Hailee Steinfeld, Alesso, Florida Georgia Line, watt, Bebe Rexha and Portugal. The Man.

Making their AMA debut will be the Korean Boy Band BTS. Other special appearances will include Selena Gomez, who will be performing the tv broadcast premiere of her new single “Wolves". Christina Aguilera will also be performing a musical tribute to Whitney Houston and the anniversary of “The Bodyguard” movie.

Also watch for a performance by singer and music icon Diana Ross, who will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's ceremony.
