People's Choice Awards
Unlike
the Oscars
or the Golden
Globes - in which nominees and winners are selected by industry
peers - the People's Choice Awards are determined solely by the
viewing public.
This
year, millions of fans nationwide went online to vote at pcavote.com
to personally pick their favorites for the 36th edition of the
People's Choice Awards.
Voting
began in October to see who will would a coveted People's Choice
nod in 2010. Official nominees were announced on November 10.
The
star-studded awards ceremony hosted by Queen Latifah, was televised
live from Los Angeles on CBS on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.
