Following last year's inaugural edition, watch for the return of the Peole's Choice Country Awards to be televised on September. 26, 2024 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC and Peacock.live from Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House. Once again, the wildly enthusiastic American country music audience will have a chance to vote for their favorite country stars this year when balloting begins over the summer. Until then, keep it here for more updates including the announcement of 2024 nominees, who will host, a list of performers and presents - along with who wins big at the 2nd annual People's Choice Country Awards. 2023 People's Choice Country Awards nominees (also see WINNERS, below) had Morgan Wallen leading the pack with a total of 11 nods, followed by Luke Combs and HARDY with nine nods each; Jelly Roll with eight; Lainey Wilson with seven; Zach Bryan and Kane Brown with six each; and Megan Moroney with five. Little Big Town hosted the ceremony along with performing some of their greatest hits. Joining Little Big Town in the performance lineup was Blake Shelton, Jelly Roll, Carly Pearce, and Kelsea Ballerini. Presenting awards throughout the evening were Dustin Lynch, Hunter Hayes, Jessie James Decker, Kristin Cavallari, Lady A and Mickey Guyton. Blake Shelton was also on hand to present Toby Keith with the inaugural Country Icon Award while Brothers Osborne presented Wynonna Judd with the Country Champion Award. For decades, the original People's Choice Awards have given fans a chance to vote for their favorite music, TV and movies. So it's only natural that the popular fan-voted award show has a spinoff dedicated to the USA's most avid country fans. While the original People's Choice Awards awards popular country artists in such categories as Favorite Country Music Artist (Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have been top winners) the People's Choice Country Awards will be ALL country - and nothing but. Add to that the venue being the Grand Ole Oprey in Nashivlle, and the People's Choice Country Awards will be a celebration of country music and culture like no other.
