BET Hip Hop AwardsWho's the best hip-hop artist?

Audiences had a chance to find out at this year's BET Hip Hop Awards, which took place in Miami on October 6, later airing on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 8PM ET on BET.

New this year, the BET Hip Hop Awards moved from Atlanta to Miami where the show taped on October 6 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater.

Top nominee DJ Khaled hosted the 2017 presentation for the second year in a row.

Nominees were announced on September 14, 2017 including nods for best artists, producers, and video directors in categories such as Hip-Hop Video of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Leading the pack of 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees included newcomer Cardi B, (one of this year's big winners) who joined Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled who were each tied with nine nominations apiece. Jay-Z and Chance the Rapper came next with five nods each, followed by Future and Migos with four nominations each.

Performing at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards were host and nominee DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Migos, Rick Ross, Trina, Trick Daddy, T-Pain, Plies, Flo Rida, Yo Gotti and Playboi Carti.

Due to Hurricane Irma's recent impact on its new home in Miami, the awards ceremony this year was coupled with a "Hip Hop for Hurricane Relief" fundraiser to help those in need throughout Florida.
