Sausage & Cabbage

1 pound Irish sausage or bratwurst
4 cups cabbage chopped in large pieces
1 cup dark beer


1. Cook sausage over medium heat in a frying pan. Turn the sausage often to prevent burning and to make sure that all sides are browned.

2. Add chopped cabbage and dark beer to the sausage.

3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer until cabbage is tender and sausage is cooked through about 30 - 40 minutes.

Helpful Hints:

Goes well with mashed or fried potatoes.
