Are you ready for the kickoff?

The National Football League's 2008 regular season begins on Thursday, September 4 with the Super Bowl champion New York Giants taking on the Washington Redskins on NBC at 7:00 PM ET.

The first Sunday on the regular schedule features the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis at the Colts' new Lucas Oil Stadium, while Monday night football kicks off with a doubleheader on ESPN - Minnesota at Green Bay (7 PM ET) and Denver at Oakland (10:15 PM ET)

The preseason begins on August 3, 2008 as Indianapolis faces Washington at the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio
