MAIN Sports NASCAR Chevy Rock & Roll 400

Held at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. the Rock and Roll 400 features top ten-point earning drivers in an important "playoff" to determine the Sprint Cup Chase champion.

What makes the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 so special? Because of its proximity to Patriot Day in honor of 9/11, the Pledge of Allegiance is usually included as part of the opening ceremony. A unique trophy is later bestowed upon the winner - in the shape of a guitar - in tribute to authentic all-American rock n' roll!

Last year, Jimmie Johnson rocked the house at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 in a dramatic neck-and-neck battle for the finish against Tony Stewart. With 10 laps to go, Johnson pulled ahead to beat out the No. 20 car in one of the last important races before the run for the Sprint Cup Chase.
