Maine
The
northern climes of Maine are not particularly ideal for grape
growing, but with varieties requiring short growing seasons -
such as Fredonia, Seedless and Delaware - Maine winemakers do
very well, thank you.
And with blueberry,
strawberry and pear leading the way, the grape is not the only
fruit to make its way to the vats. Even cranberry makes an appearance
in season.
