Audiences nationwide discovered who was the tops in hip-hop when the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards returned to Atlanta, GA, on Friday, September 30, 2022, with the BET broadcast premiere Tuesday, October 4 at 9 PM ET/PT.

Hosting the awards ceremony was Bronx rapper and BET Hip Hop Award winner Fat Joe.

2022 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees (also see WINNERS, below) had Drake leading the pack with a whopping 14 nominations, followed by Kanye West with 10 nods, and Kendrick Lamar with nine.
