Traditional Passover Charoset

Ingredients:

3/4 cup walnuts
1/4 large cooking apple
Kosher wine to moisten
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar or honey

Instructions:

1. Peel the apple and chop it into small pieces.

2. Mince the walnuts and add to the apple.

3. Add the kosher wine to moisten the mix.

4. Add cinnamon and sugar to flavor and thicken the charoset. The traditional consistency should be like the mortar used for bricks.

Helpful Hints:

This can be made ahead and will keep for up to three days when refrigerated.
