In 2009, annual awards show scrambled to find a sponor when the major networks pulled out of the running to air this year's presentation.

But here's the happy ending — the CW Television Network announced it would telecast the 36th annual presentation on August 30th, 2009 live from Los Angeles at 8PM ET, hosted by Ugly Betty villainess, Vanessa Williams.
